Seven Stars Atelier is an independent website explaining BaZi, the Chinese zodiac and related symbolic traditions in English. We publish guides and browser tools for learning and reflection. An earlier version of this page claimed an origin in the foothills of Zhongnan Mountain; we have removed that unverified origin story.
BaZi is a traditional system that has been used for divination and interpretation. We describe its chart conventions and symbolic vocabulary without presenting them as scientific measurements of personality, health or future outcomes. Different readers and schools can disagree; a detailed interpretation does not make a prediction reliable.
Our editorial role is to explain terms, show how a worked example is constructed and make limitations visible. A reader should be able to distinguish a calendar calculation from a symbolic interpretation, and both from advice requiring professional qualifications.

Symbolic descriptions are optional prompts for reflection. They do not establish your traits or another person's intentions. Decisions about health, money, employment and relationships need evidence beyond a birth chart.
We are deeply respectful of the Chinese cultural and philosophical roots of BaZi. Our work is to translate and adapt — not to strip away context or claim ownership of traditions that are not ours to own.
The internet is full of clickbait "What Your Zodiac Says About Your Love Life" content. That's not us. We go deep into the actual mechanics of BaZi calculation, element analysis, and Day Master interpretation. Our reports are 20+ pages because that's what it takes to do justice to the tradition.

This describes those calculations, not every website request: hosting, fonts and any checkout or contact action have separate data flows. Our free guides are educational reference material. Each article starts with the classical concepts it explains, then uses plain language, worked examples, and links to related topics so readers can check the context for themselves. We distinguish traditional interpretation from factual claims and do not present BaZi as medical, legal, financial, or scientific advice.
We review published pages when a reader flags an unclear explanation, a broken link, or an outdated reference. Corrections and suggestions can be sent to our editorial inbox. Our goal is a useful, navigable learning library rather than recycled horoscope snippets.

Every guide should answer a specific question, explain its terms before relying on them, and point to the next useful resource.
